Overview
Mobile Crisis Management Responder / QP / Qualified Professional (M-Friday 8am-5pm) North. Provides acute face to face crisis support to individuals experiencing Mental Health (MH), Substance Abuse (SA), or Intellectual/Developmental Disability (IDD) crisis. Mobile Crisis Responders go where the individual is located in crisis, including residential, school, workplace, and community settings. Interventions are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Pay

Full Time, 40 hours per week Responsibilities
Provide acute face-to-face crisis support to individuals experiencing MH, SA, or IDD crisis in the Mobile Crisis Management catchment area. Occur at the location of the individual in crisis (residential, school, workplace, community). Engage in strength-based interventions to promote recovery, reduce symptoms, and increase coping skills; aim to reduce immediate risk and link to appropriate follow-up care. Facilitate relationships and act as a link between the company, parents/guardians, local agencies, and the community. Minimize negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence through supportive counseling. Support client in developing daily living, socialization, adaptation, and behavior/anger management skills. Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call system; coordinate first response resources as needed. Perform Case Management functions including linking and arranging services and referrals. Collaborate with clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and expedite linkage to long-term services. Ensure timely initial authorizations and reauthorizations for services. Monitor service utilization for effectiveness and appropriateness; provide recommendations and referrals as needed. Position Requirements
Minimum of one year’s experience providing crisis management services in settings such as assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency department, or other 24/7/365 response environments. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to provide timely face-to-face crisis response and link clients to resources. Desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people served. Qualified Professional Criteria
Education: Bachelor Degree (Not Human Services field) with 4+ years full-time experience with the population served, OR Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) with 2+ years full-time experience with the population served, OR Master’s Degree or higher with 1+ years full-time experience with the population served. License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, or Permit issued by the governing board regulating human service profession. Definitions: Human Service Degrees Include: Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Service Degrees. Populations Served Include: Mentally Ill-Child, Mentally Ill-Adult, Substance Abuse-Adult, Substance Abuse-Child. Pre-employment screening
