The Miami HEAT Content Department is seeking a Team Videographer to capture and shape the cinematic storytelling that brings fans closer to the team on the road, behind the scenes, and across all platforms. This role serves as a creative lens through which pivotal team moments are shared, helping define how HEAT stories are told. The position supports the content team’s storytelling with a focus on travel and behind-the-scenes coverage, while also contributing to editing, producing, and day-to-day needs.

Essential Duties The following are examples of the primary responsibilities required. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned.

Travel Coverage & Access

Serve as a primary shooter for team travel, games, practices, and events.

Capture authentic, behind-the-scenes content that gives fans an inside look at the team experience.

Balance creative instincts with discretion, maintaining trust with players, coaches, and Basketball Operations staff.

Storytelling & Editing

Identify and shape moments into compelling stories that strengthen the HEAT brand.

Collaborate with producers and editors to deliver polished content across digital, broadcast, and in-arena platforms.

Use color grading in programs such as Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro to enhance mood, emotion, and narrative impact.

Contribute to both short-form and long-form projects, ensuring strong narrative flow and visual impact.

Workflow & Technical Execution

Operate, maintain, and transport professional camera and audio equipment.

Manage media, organize files, and ensure content is archived and delivered efficiently.

Stay current on new technology, techniques, and creative trends to elevate production quality.

Responsible for field production duties such as researching, information gathering, coordinating, conducting interviews, and overseeing the remote production crew.

Serve dual role as Field Producer and videographer on projects and at events as needed, responsible for all field technical requirements.

Manages, preserves, and helps maintain studio and field equipment inventory.

Researches and recommends new technology for Video Production and Digital Cinema.

Qualifications Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year university or equivalent technical school training. Must possess 3 years of content production experience in the following areas: videography (video and audio); lighting; field producing; LIVE and remote productions; scripting and writing; non-linear editing and asset management; postproduction software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with professional cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment

Proficiency with NLE programs, including Adobe Premiere Pro, with familiarity in DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Photoshop, and other creative tools preferred but not required.

Familiarity with file management systems and content delivery workflows.
