Manager, Commercial Strategy
on the Marketing Team, reporting to the Dir, Commercial Strategy. This is a full-time role with on-site work in Miami, Florida. Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a Manager, Commercial Strategy on the Marketing Team. The role uses analysis to guide strategy by understanding gaps, performance, and insights to assist in the recommendation and justification of a portfolio of products, as well as recommendations on profit and guest experience maximization. The role will influence decision making related to brand strategy, new revenue streams, newbuilds, fleet modernization, private destinations, and other fleetwide strategies focused on maximizing total enterprise value and the guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of financial modeling, strategic and analytical skills, and strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identify and size commercialization, ship, and private destination opportunities to pursue to maximize revenue and profit. Maintain financial models for brand, product, and commercial initiatives by evaluating data and determining the optimal way to spend to accomplish company goals. Lead and partner cross-functionally to develop P&L statements for new initiatives and benchmark to existing experiences. Leverage analytics, logic, and reasoning to identify strengths and opportunities of alternative solutions. Lead and partner with Finance to develop, submit, and monitor capital requests to secure funding for brand strategy and innovation projects, including building and substantiating business cases, and tracking financial spend and updating forecasts in partnership with brand finance and newbuild finance. Serve as a trusted advisor to the broader finance community within the corporation. Lead ad-hoc analyses to guide decision-making on design of future strategies and products by identifying complex problems and developing options and solutions. Partner cross-functionally with newbuild, hotel operations, revenue management, onboard revenue, deployment strategy, product development, and brand/corporate finance to develop and update reasonable assumptions based on performance benchmarks. Present to executive leadership to drive decision making by developing slide presentations that articulate complex details into simple, persuasive stories. Foster a highly collaborative cross-functional team with strong communication to align perspectives and reconcile differences. Demonstrate a strong understanding of marketing principles to lead management on strategic initiatives and guide analysis.
