Senior Engineer
to join our
Workday Financials
team. This position involves design, development, testing and deployment of various functionality using Workday core toolset. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement. The Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff, working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain high standards of protection and availability. Our team delivers high quality technology products and services in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge including Workday Financials, Integrations, PRISM, Reporting and Accounting Center. Responsibilities
Provide expertise in Workday Financials Modules - specifically Workday Billing, Procurement, Payables, Assets and General Ledger Manage system architecture of the Workday Financial system Provide support for Workday Security and other functional areas Build product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive toward the right solution Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate engineering quality Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, documentation, and problem resolution Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications Work with other teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in Workday tools and technologies Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning recent technologies, and mentoring other engineers Mentor other engineers and share best practices Continuously improve processes within and across teams Qualifications
Experience with assessing current solutions and providing best practices Experience with Finance Transformation projects Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT) Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions Expert at creating complex calculated fields Experience with scalable, resilient, and highly available systems Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling Experience with Agile methods and Azure Experience architecting and designing new and current systems Strong problem-solving ability Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently with timely follow-up Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment Experience
4+ years of professional software development experience within Workday Ecosystem - focused on Financials 3+ years of experience with architecture and design 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience Annual Salary
$70,000.00 - $215,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to determine the final salary. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, work location, market and business considerations.
