Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty position teaches online Psychology credit courses for MDC Online. Responsibilities
Facilitates student learning in online courses Manages online courses through the LMS (learning management system) and its tools Interacts with students online via discussion, chat, and emails at least three times a week Evaluates and advises students Provides feedback on the course to course developers Participates in departmental and College affairs Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
Master’s degree in Communication, Communication Studies, Human Communication or Speech Communication; or Master’s degree in a related discipline (which may include, but not limited to, Mass Communication, Rhetoric, Organizational Communication, Global Communication, Business Communication, Sports Communication, or Theatre Arts) with at least 18 graduate hours of coursework in communication theory or research, including 6 (six) graduate semester hours in communication theory or research with an additional 12 (twelve) graduate hours related to course competencies. Must have basic computer software and Internet skills Must be a Florida resident Must obtain MDC Online Certification by successfully completing specific online training provided by the College upon hiring Preferences
