Overview
Account Executive at Thomson Reuters. This position is responsible for developing account plans for new and existing accounts, prospecting new customers and new business with existing customers, and closing full-solution sales to corporate customers.
About the Role In this opportunity, as Account Executive you will:
Prospecting: Actively seek out new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline. Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline with 3-4x coverage of sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of major accounts (revenues $500M+), guiding the full sales cycle from initial contact and account planning through deal closure to renewal.
Sales Goals: Meet or exceed revenue targets.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to tailor our solutions to customer needs.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, demonstrating how Thomson Reuters solutions address their challenges.
Salesforce Maintenance: Regularly update Salesforce to maintain accurate records and provide reliable sales forecasts. Engage in direct client meetings in person or via platforms like MS Teams.
About You
College degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years direct field sales experience (corporate sector preferred) with a proven track record of achieving sales quotas.
Proven success selling complex, enterprise software (>$500M revenue targets) with a consultative, value-based approach.
Experience engaging C-suite using solution selling to uncover business challenges and quantify the impact of inaction.
Skilled at leading multi-stakeholder, full-cycle sales processes from prospecting to close.
Self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and driving change.
Strong cross-functional collaborator with marketing, product, and legal to achieve shared outcomes.
Deep understanding of AI and its application to improve legal department operations; mission-driven.
Adept at developing and executing account plans and contributing to sales strategy, culture, value proposition, and tools.

Compensation and Location In the United States, Thomson Reuters offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation. Target total cash compensation range for eligible US locations is $128,100 - $237,900, inclusive of base pay and target sales incentive. Pay is determined based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. The posting closes on 10/04/2025.
