As the Sr. Manager Environmental Health and Safety at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the outstanding opportunity to build and compose the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain policies, practices, and procedures to ensure EHS compliance. Develop and support the site's EHS Management System. Lead the Workers Compensation Program. Manage the Intelex database system for injury reporting and OSHA logs. Conduct investigations of accidents and near-miss incidents. Analyze accident data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Ensure timely completion of routine environmental reports and inspections. Conduct compliance audits and assessments. Develop and deliver training programs for environmental, health, and safety responsibilities. Serve as a technical resource in areas of EHS compliance and risk management. Lead the site EHS team and report on metrics and performance. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field plus prior experience with Workers Compensation Program. 8+ years of experience in EHS or risk management. Effective leadership and personnel management skills. Strong IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, database management, and electronic communication methods. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field and/or professional certifications (CHMM, CEP, CSP, CIH). LEAN Manufacturing experience. What We Offer
