The Beneva Group Our client, a leading industrial manufacturer, has engaged Beneva Group to recruit a Senior EHS Site Manager to lead a key manufacturing location in the Northeast US. This highly visible role leads a team of EHS professionals and is responsible for ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and embedding a culture of safety and sustainability.
Overview The Senior EHS Site Manager will oversee EHS programs at a major manufacturing site in the Northeast US, drive safety performance, and embed sustainable practices across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and develop a team of EHS professionals across multiple disciplines
Provide clear performance objectives, career guidance, and technical mentorship
Lead EHS&S team to meet operational KPIs and regulatory expectations
EHS Program Management
Oversee site-wide safety, environmental, and sustainability programs.
Fully implement the company’s Serious Injury & Fatality Prevention Program.
Own the EHS event investigation and root cause analysis process.
Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement across all EHS functions.
Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and third-party audits.
Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, NJDOL, etc.).
Collaborate across departments to integrate EHS principles into daily operations.
Develop and manage the EHS&S site budget and strategic roadmap.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering, or related field.
15+ years’ experience in EHS leadership within a complex, regulated manufacturing environment.
Prior experience leading a team and managing multi-disciplinary EHS programs.
Preferred Qualifications
CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification
Experience with ISO 45001 / 14001 or VPP programs
Location Northeast US (Onsite leadership role)
Compensation
Base salary with bonus potential
