The primary purpose of this role includes but is not limited to: The Center is currently seeking a part-time employee to serve as a proctor for NC State academic exams. Proctors are responsible for ensuring exam integrity and providing superior customer service in a friendly, technology-enhanced environment. Requirements and Preferences The successful candidate will work Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or Monday through Thursday: 1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Shifts Available: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Comfortable using tablets and computers Oversee other temporary proctors while on site to ensure all processes are being followed Ensure all exams are filed correctly, double checking rosters and daily completed exams Scan and email exams to the appropriate instructor or contact person Answer fundamental questions over the phone and in person Know when a query needs to be escalated to a full-time proctor Assist in any other areas as determined by full-time proctors or upper management, as needed Able to serve as an intermittent replacement for a full-time proctor in any extenuating circumstances NC State University is an equal opportunity employer.
