Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.

Due to available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $17.59 per hour.

Why does the job exist?

This position will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to include sorting mail, using the mail machine, collecting and sending mail from inmates and staff, while monitoring inmate mail to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in the following: * Clerical * Organizing and maintaining files * Collecting and organizing mail * Computer data entry

Minimum Qualification

Eighth grade education.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which may include daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
