Job Summary
The
Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative
(PSR II) is the face of our diagnostics partner, delivering compassionate and efficient service to patients at collection sites. This role involves collecting
high-quality blood samples , preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and confidentiality protocols. PSRs are expected to exhibit leadership behaviors and operational excellence in a
fast-paced clinical environment .
Key Responsibilities
Collect and prepare clinical and forensic blood samples accurately and safely Explain collection procedures clearly and professionally to patients Ensure all specimens are correctly labeled in the patient's presence Maintain patient records and documentation Uphold a clean, professional, and safe collection environment Flexibly cover multiple collection sites as needed, including on-call shifts and weekends Use strong communication skills to support patients and team collaboration Ensure all processes align with company policies and local regulations Required Experience
Minimum
3 years of phlebotomy experience
including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if travel required) Strong data entry and typing skills Nice-to-Have Experience
2+ years in a Patient Service Center Experience in a
retail or customer service setting Familiarity with in-office phlebotomy and multi-site coverage Required Skills
Excellent
phlebotomy skills
with all age groups Detail-oriented and capable of managing high-volume priorities Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Committed to health & safety standards and patient confidentiality Preferred Skills
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training National or state Phlebotomy Certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in MO) Additional Skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication Adaptability to scheduling changes and travel Demonstrated leadership behaviors Benefits
