Main Tasks
Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and services Issue purchase orders Assist with quality issues that may result in a return to vendor Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery Utilize procurement management software to streamline purchasing processes Research inventory discrepancies with Finance Communicate with scheduling and production of any issues with materials Additional duties as assigned Your Profile
Associate's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in replenishment buying and/or requisition buying in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of production, logistics and supply chain management principles Prior experience in manufacturing Prior experience in purchasing preferred Analytical skills; ability to calculate and convert units of measure, build truckloads, etc. Proficient in inventory management techniques to optimize stock levels Strong team player Ability to take initiative and think proactively with a positive attitude and target oriented approach Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel) Ability to analyze pricing trends and make informed purchasing decisions Experience with ERP systems; SAGE preferred Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Must be able to work well independently or with minimal supervision
