GE Vernova The Services MCU EHS Strategic Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving strategic EHS initiatives across multiple regions, working closely with each of the Regional EHS MCU Leaders. This position is integral to ensuring the successful implementation and execution of EHS strategies during Major Component Upgrade (MCU) execution across each of the regions and will take focused ownership to drive High Risk Activity Deployment Activities and Contractor Performance as part of their strategic oversight across the global portfolio. The role demands strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and compliance between the subject matter experts (Regional MCU EHS Leadership) between each region as well as serving the functional MCU Regional leadership. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a global EHS strategy for MCU, aiming for a fatality-free workplace which serves as a compliment to the overall Service EHS Strategy. Collaborate with Wind EHS MCU Regional and Services MCU leadership to drive risk elimination initiatives in MCU operations. Lead a clear partnership with contracting teams and cross functional communication to drive consistency with MCU strategy and approach. Streamline safety processes with EHS Centers of Excellence to enhance MCU performance inclusive of contractor performance. Implement strategic EHS initiatives to reduce incidents and injuries within MCU. Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring safe practices for all employees and contractors thru genba, time in field with MCU teams focusing on proactive / leading indicators. Mentor MCU lead field engineering leadership to promote safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement thru engagement with EHS Front Line Training. Serve as a liaison for EHS matters, providing updates to senior MCU leaders. Assist with investigations of high-risk incidents in MCU, recommending corrective actions and acting as partner to services organization and EHS portfolio leaders. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or EHS-related field. Advanced degree preferred. Significant experience in EHS management or executing EHS programs in the renewable energy sector. Demonstrated ability in leading EHS initiatives in a multinational, multicultural environment. Strong understanding of global EHS regulations and standards. Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels. Able and willing to travel 50%+ and comply with GE Vernova (GEV) travel and tax guidelines. The salary range for this position is $113,100.00 - $150,800.00 USD Annual.
