Overview
Program Manager role at TekSynap supporting NICHD (Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development). This position involves coordinating IT program activities to support quality IT services for NICHD. Responsibilities
Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Aids in contract negotiations and coordinates preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Advises the program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additional Knowledge Areas Preferred
Prefer ten (10) years of IT Program Manager experience; minimum eight (8) years in the last ten years preferred. Prefer Active/Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI. Prefer experience leading IT teams of 50+ staff. Prior federal government IT program management experience preferred. Prior experience in a dynamic work environment preferred. Very strong oral and written communication skills; English proficiency required. Strong skills in strategic thinking, negotiating, multi-tasking, time management, teamwork, planning, and timely decision-making under unplanned events or priority changes. Minimum/General Experience
Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience, with at least seven (7) years specialized in Information Technology. At least five (5) years of experience managing Government contracts. Experience in individual project management as well as managing several related projects concurrently. Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the contract work or in business or technology. With a relevant Master’s Degree, ten (10) years of general experience with at least five (5) years of specialized experience required. Fifteen (15) years of applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Location & Environment
