Sr Director Learning and Development

The Senior Director, Learning and Development is a key leadership role within Children's Learning Talent Center of Excellence reporting to the Vice President, Learning and Talent Management. This role is responsible for shaping and activating the learning strategy, driving innovation and advancement in learning experiences, and ensuring alignment with Children's business and talent priorities. The role leads a team of learning professionals and collaborates across the broader Talent Management COE, People function, business units, and functional capability teams to deliver a scalable, impactful learning ecosystem and seamless, compelling learner experience. This leader will orchestrate a culture of continuous learning, align external trends and future-focused needs, and integrate learning into the flow of work. The role is to evolve Children's approach to learning and enable transformation through unifying our efforts, amplifying our impact, evolving and modernizing operating principles and inspiring others to reimagine how learning comes to life for our employees every day. Responsibilities
Partners with top notch learning vendors to maintain relationships and reliable partnerships that meets the needs of the business and bring innovative solutions to the learning space Leads a team of learning professionals and collaborates across the broader COE, people function, business units, and functions to deliver a scalable, impactful learning ecosystem and seamless, compelling learner experience Instrumental in orchestrating a culture of continuous learning, aligning external trends and future focused needs, and integrating learning into the flow of work Proven thought leader with deep functional knowledge and experience in complex organizations Builds and sustains a world class learning brand known for delivering impact and results while also creating efficiency Champions innovative, learner centric approaches including digital learning, experiential learning, and social learning and remove points of friction and inefficiency wherever possible Enables people to learn in ways that drive consistent high performance for individuals and the organization, creating conditions that amplify the impact of learning at all phases of their career Inspires possibility by acting as a leader with vision on ground breaking, emerging and relevant trends center on learning impact and business relevancy Leads and develops a high performing team of learning professionals fostering collaboration, innovation, excellence and team member growth Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, talent management and people partners, and functional teams to ensure learning solutions are aligned, relevant and impactful Establishes governing principles, protocols and processes that enable learning program consistency and scale; unlocks synergies, leverages and promotes continuous improvement and iteration Articulates learning impact with a data driven approach to assess outcomes, reach and audience value. Optimizes ROI and informs learning investment through clear metrics, dashboards and actionable insights Oversees relationship with external learning partners and vendors to ensure quality, innovation and value delivery This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. You may be required to float occasionally to other Children's Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics. (Start time hours can be discussed during interviews) Work Experience
At least 15 years' experience with HR leadership, learning and development At least 7 years leadership experience Proven expertise in building learning functions, strategies and processes that align with business goals Excellent consulting, client management and project management skills In-depth knowledge of learning and development trends, tools and practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, including executive presence and influence Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision making Develops collaborative relationships and networks across reporting lines and functions to get things done Demonstrated ability to quickly establish and maintain credibility at all levels in the organization Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, integrity and strong ethical standards and passionately advocates for career wellbeing and development Education
Graduate or professional degree; or equivalent experience; Master’s in industrial/organizational psychology or organizational design and development Licenses and Certifications
Certification in learning and/or talent development (Preferred) Benefits
