The Senior Program Coordinator, Student Academic Records in the Office of the University Registrar plays a critical role in assessing, modifying, and maintaining student records to preserve academic history and ensure accurate progress towards degree completion. Serving as a primary point of contact for colleagues within schools, colleges, and academic departments, the Senior Program Coordinator resolves issues related to personally identifiable information, program requirements, and academic outcomes. This role supports student registration, error resolution, leaves of absence processing, coding of special programs, degree verifications, and manages transcript production queues. This position works closely with colleagues in the Registrar’s office, the Enrollment & Student Administration unit, staff, and students. This role reports to the Associate Registrar. The Senior Program Coordinator’s Primary Duties Include: Assessing and processing exceptions; Adjusting student records; Communicating University compliance requirements; Researching and evaluating past data to complete transcript requests; Maintaining course descriptions and audit records. This role may cross-train into related organizational areas to provide support at peak times. The Senior Program Coordinator works relatively independently but may seek assistance for complex tasks. They are expected to set priorities in consultation with others and to maintain confidentiality of information. The Office of the University Registrar is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). It supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of Boston University by providing quality services to students, faculty, academic and administrative departments, and the public. Required Skills and Requirements: A cover letter is required for consideration. A Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related experience are required for this position. Experience with student information systems is a plus, but not a requirement. We are seeking a candidate who: Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to write well; Can communicate effectively and diplomatically with people from a variety of different backgrounds; Displays that they would be able to work relatively independently, to anticipate office needs, to set priorities in consultation with others, and to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
