Switchboard Mailroom Associate
A local Catholic Center is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Switchboard Mailroom Associate to serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This full-time position includes handling phone calls, greeting visitors, processing mail, and supporting multiple departments within the organization. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and able to multitask efficiently in a faith-based environment.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
Greet and announce visitors, ensuring proper security procedures are followed.
Manage scheduling for conference rooms and A/V equipment.
Maintain updated phone lists, mailing labels, and internal contact info.
Monitor building security cameras and report issues as needed.
Sort and deliver interoffice mail; process and apply postage.
Provide copy and mailroom support to all departments.
Assist the bishop’s office with special projects including correspondence and event preparations.
Maintain current database of parishes and missions.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma required.
3-5 years of general office experience in a service-oriented setting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with the ability to learn new systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data and scheduling.
Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
Ability to view the role as a ministry to serve others.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Benefits/Compensation
Full-time
First shift (8am-4:30pm)
14+/hr based on experience
