As Group Strategy Director, you are responsible for the creation of the strategic direction a brand will take in communications to achieve their business goals. You will help to strategize, produce and make sense of the key cultural, consumer and market intelligence required to design the best possible holistic communications plan. You will work with Strategy Teams to ensure the work is rooted in genuine insight and business understanding, providing on-the-ground training and helping develop new strategic approaches and frameworks in collaboration with Analytics, Communications Design and Client teams. You have a passion for people, brands and ideas and an innate curiosity for culture in every sense. You believe that brands can and should mean in the world, and you are driven by the desire to understand the changing world and people’s motivations and behaviours. The absolute focus for this role is the quality and creativity of the work. Excellent presentation skills and leadership behaviors are essential. Responsibilities
Translate the client’s business goals into communications tasks with clear direction for the team. Maintain excellent client relationships and understand the client’s key business challenges. Ensure the teams deliver best-in-class work as standard. Proactively identify strategic issues before they become problems, using strong analytical and strategic skills. Provide and/or guide strategic input for all plans, internally and externally. Bring fresh thinking into the Strategic Process and demonstrate how non-media inspiration can drive better strategic thinking. Drive the development and usage of Cultural Analytics to uncover insights that unlock growth. Collaborate with Strategy Directors to deliver executable, on-brand platforms with potential for fame/award entry. Train, guide and assist Strategy and Client teams in developing ideas and packaging. Use qualitative and quantitative research to develop consumer insights and brand connection. Partner with Analytics Strategy to develop POVs on research, measurement, and planning models. Contribute to agency/client revenue opportunities via strategic output. Collaborate with partners (vendors, academic institutions, creative consultancies) to unlock growth opportunities. Participate in new business as required. Qualifications - Required Skills
Ability to think differently, creatively and entrepreneurially; deeply immersed in cultural understanding and motivated to understand motivations and behaviors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experienced presenter and storyteller. Interest in healthcare and patient/doctor journeys and how communications can augment care. Experience working with a media planning team (internal or partner agency). Experience in managing and developing junior strategy talent. Initiative does not require a college degree. Qualifications - Desired Skills
Preferably 10+ years in integrated planning in media, creative, innovation or communications (digital, content, social, activation). Has worked on a health or pharmaceutical client. Knowledge of MRI/Simmons, Mintel, WAR and similar tools. We See You
