Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking experienced and results-driven professionals to join our team as Used Car Managers, Used Car Buyers, and Vehicle Acquisition Specialists. Used Car Manager - Role Summary The Used Car Manager will assist in leading the used car sales team, reinforcing high standards for performance and customer service, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Ensure all sales processes and documentation meet state and federal regulations, as well as dealership policies. Analyze and report on sales performance, including metrics such as sales volume, customer satisfaction score, etc. Recruit, train, and motivate the used car sales team, setting clear performance expectations and conducting regular performance reviews. Coach and develop team members, helping them build product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service expertise. Establish a positive, goal-oriented team culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Foster a customer-focused environment, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction throughout the sales process. Lead the used car sales team, providing training and guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices. Maintain accurate records of used vehicle transactions, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and legal standards. Work closely with the Service and Parts departments to ensure vehicles are properly inspected, reconditioned, and ready for sale. What We Look For Proven experience in automotive sales, preferably in used car sales management or a related role. In-depth knowledge of automotive market trends, inventory management, and sales processes. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate deals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make strategic decisions. A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Used Car Buyer - Role Summary The Used Car Buyer will oversee the strategic sourcing and acquisition of used car inventory from various channels, including auctions, trade-ins, service drive, and off-street purchases. Purchase vehicles via auctions, direct from consumers, OEM lease end channels, wholesalers, and the service drive. Manage arbitrations with auctions. Evaluate vehicle condition reports and determine fair market value, reconditioning costs, and overall fit for inventory. Track and respond to used car market trends to ensure proper mix and turn. Utilize dealership's inventory management tools and pricing software to make data-driven purchase decisions. Maintain accurate records of vehicle sourcing, appraisals, and purchases. Perform or oversee final physical inspections on acquired vehicles and confirm condition vs. report. Collaborate with reconditioning team to streamline vehicle prep and time-to-frontline. Attend daily trade walks and provide expertise on trade valuations and appraisals. Coach and support sales associates in understanding appraisals and used car inventory positioning. What We Look For Minimum 2 years of used car buying or automotive sales experience; auction buying experience required. Deep understanding of used car market values, trends, and retail/wholesale pricing. Ability to assess vehicle condition quickly and accurately. High level of attention to detail and integrity in evaluations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in automotive DMS, CRM, inventory software, and auction platforms. Tech-savvy, with the ability to analyze data and use digital tools to drive results. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Vehicle Acquisition Specialist - Role Summary The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in supporting our used car inventory strategy by acquiring vehicles directly from customers. Proactively identify vehicle acquisition opportunities through data mining tools, service and sales team referrals, and customer outreach. Connect with current and potential customers via phone, email, and in-person to schedule appraisals and present acquisition offers. Conduct vehicle evaluations using tools such as AccuTrade and partner with the Used Car Manager to align with inventory needs and pricing strategies. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle information in CRM and appraisal platforms. Support all aspects of the purchase process, including paperwork, follow-up, and ensuring timely payment resolution. Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to review performance metrics, share insights, and support ongoing process improvements. Make 60+ customer contacts per day including next-day service appointment calls and post-service follow-ups. What We Look For Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus, but not required; we provide full training. Comfort learning and using digital platforms and CRM systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you enjoy talking to people and building trust quickly. Self-starter mentality with the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
