We are seeking an

Operations and Production Planner

to develop, manage, and optimize production schedules across our Greens and Repack operations. This role is key to ensuring efficient product flow, proper resource utilization, and alignment between supply chain, labor, and customer demand.

What You'll Do

As an Operations and Production Planner, you will:

Greens Production Planning Create and manage daily production schedules. Direct daily product flow from no-stem processing through finished bagged product. Coordinate with shipping to align schedules with departure times. Analyze yield forecasts and historical order data to anticipate needs. Ensure availability of raw product to meet Greens Department production targets. Notify supply chain when raw product availability cannot meet production requirements. Plan for minimum order runs while maintaining efficiency. Repack Production Planning

Develop and oversee daily Repack schedules. Coordinate shipping schedules to ensure timely order fulfillment. Secure adequate raw product supply for daily repack operations. Collaborate with supply teams to align harvesting and delivery with repack demand. Communicate product readiness to crews to minimize downtime. Monitor crew production flow and adjust sourcing to maintain efficiency. Process Control & New Product Development

Troubleshoot and improve new production processes. Update process and procedure policies to reflect best practices. Facilitate prototype development for potential new products. Collect and maintain data on new products (process steps, yield data, outcomes). Track yield data to identify waste trends and notify operations of variances. Packaging Planning

Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure packaging materials (boxes, labels, etc.) are available. Match production runs with correct packaging configurations based on specs, shelf life, and SKU demand. Labor Planning

Collaborate with HR, staffing agencies, and operations supervisors to forecast labor needs by line, shift, and day. Develop labor allocation plans that reflect product volumes, processing needs, and packaging formats. Monitor labor efficiency and compare actual vs. planned staffing levels. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Maintain accurate documentation of schedules, production metrics, labor usage, and downtime. Analyze schedule adherence, order fill rates, and labor performance to improve planning accuracy. Support ERP/MRP or planning system enhancements to increase efficiency and decision-making. What You Need to Succeed

2-4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations (preferably in manufacturing/food production). Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, and labor planning practices. Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple departments. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools. Ability to work in cold, wet, and noisy environments (36-38°F). Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and schedules.

Ability to prepare weekend production schedules remotely from home.
