Join Knowledge Road as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time, school-day or after-school position is an excellent opportunity to empower students to develop their communication potential. Overview/Impact : As a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide essential support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools, helping them overcome communication barriers and achieve academic success. Responsibilities : Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings. Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop and implement creative and effective treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school professionals to create a supportive learning environment. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes. Participate in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert insights and recommendations to guide student progress. Qualifications : Current NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school-based setting. Proficiency with electronic documentation and teletherapy platforms. NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status are required or a willingness to obtain them prior to starting. Schedule & Location : This part-time position is located in Brooklyn, with a schedule following the NYC DOE calendar. You will provide services on-site at one or more schools in Queens, with specific assignments based on student needs. Compensation : This 1099 contractor role pays a tiered hourly rate based on group size from $75-$180/hr.
