IDHea (Institute of Digital Health) is looking to advance clinical research by leveraging data-sharing partnerships and real-world data to advance screening and diagnose programs for eyecare and other systemic diseases (Oculomics). THI is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Sr BD Manager, Data Partnerships to join the newly created IDHea business. This role will be responsible for driving new data sharing and access agreements with optometry, primary care, and ophthalmology practices and with stakeholders (Pharma, AI developers, researchers) interested in developing treatment therapies, Diagnostics, and AI solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the medical data ecosystems, in particular medical imaging, with excellent business development and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand data partnership (Data providers, researchers, startups, Pharma) Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Eye Care ecosystem (i.e., pharmaceutical companies, medical device / Health tech companies, AI algorithm developers, Research institutions, etc.) Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the clinical trials industry Product and Solution Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Eye care data products and solutions. Articulate the value proposition and benefits to potential clients and partners. Provide feedback to Product and Data Operations team to ensure our offerings meet market demands. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to ensure successful partnership implementation and ongoing collaboration. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking: Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and leverage relationships to cultivate new partnership opportunities Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track key performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Provide regular updates on business development activities and results. Detailed Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target optometric and ophthalmology organizations, research institutions, and across Data users to promote participation in data sharing. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential and active partnerships. Develop and drive the execution of business development plans and initiatives to establish a new revenue stream, achieve revenue growth, and optimize strategic objectives. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities and partnership outcomes. Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IDHea operations, regulatory, legal) to ensure successful partnership execution and management. Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and events to promote business development initiatives. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field is required. MBA is preferred. Relevant Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related field within data sharing, pharmaceutical/medical device developing strategic partnerships and alliances. Deep Industry Knowledge: familiarity with the healthcare and technology sectors is a must; understanding of data sharing agreements and sponsored clinical research. Skills & Competencies: Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and develop data-driven strategies. Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay: $155,000 Annualized Bonus eligible:
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a quarterly incentive bonus. Benefits:
