Supervision of three main functions - Accounts Payable, Billing and Payroll. Manage accounts payable to meet weekly check runs and other purchasing obligations. Manage the processing of the organization's payroll to meet biweekly deadlines. Oversee the billing and accounts receivable management. Oversee the preparation of journal entries and monthly financial statements for seven entities. On-going cash management and review. Reconcile balance sheet accounts quarterly and ensure accuracy. Assist with year-end closing and annual financial audit. Work with operational managers to assist in understanding and researching their financial statements. Assist and review government reporting – Payroll Based Journal reporting, Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports, State and Federal Payroll reporting, annual 1099’s, sales and use tax reporting, tax exempt bond compliance reporting. Hire, train, evaluate, supervise, and develop team members on the accounting team. Maintain internal controls and accounting guidelines by updating policies and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Thorough knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Excellent management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities. Well-developed interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Motivated, able to function independently and multi-task. Ability to manage and direct employees, and collaborate with managers. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft products and ability to learn new software systems (Paycom, PointClickCare, Matrixcare, MS Dynamics). Strong Excel and data skills. Experience That Is a PLUS
CPA preferred. Experience with skilled nursing or healthcare, including Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance billing. Federal grant management. Experience with budgeting. Seniority level
