Regional Business Director, Auvelity (Boston, MA) Axsome Therapeutics is recruiting for the Regional Business Director (RBD) to lead commercial activities for an assigned geography, establish a team of Account Managers, execute marketing strategies, and support a successful launch. The RBD will supervise a geographically aligned salesforce and leverage a sophisticated digital infrastructure. Travel as needed to develop internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

Supervise operations of the Region, including driving results, hiring and coaching, account manager development, performance management, and prioritization of key accounts within the medical community.

Develop and implement strategic plans for the Region, balancing live and virtual interactions and prioritizing team efforts.

Plan, organize and drive regional performance through coaching and influence of direct reports to achieve business potential.

Establish and maintain effective communication within the Region across cross-channel stakeholders in Accounts and Market Access teams.

Maintain technical expertise to respond accurately to questions about products, marketing, policies, and business-related issues from customers and account managers.

Work with direct reports to understand and execute established expectations; coach and develop selling skills and product knowledge in direct reports through live and virtual engagements.

Plan and conduct plans of action and other meetings with Region and Market Access teams.

Develop and implement Region business plan, manage Region budget and overall responsibility for P&L in alignment with Regional and National expectations.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies and processes; actions of self and team are fully compliant.

Overnight travel as indicated by business needs.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

BA or BS required. Advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of field leadership experience and/or payer account management and/or demonstrated sales success with increasing responsibility.

Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred, with at least 3–5 years in a role with first-line leadership.

Proven ability to lead others to success through coaching and influence.

Experience delivering outstanding results and developing others to their potential; track record in attracting and retaining top talent.

Current or recent Psychiatry disease experience strongly preferred; successful launch experience strongly preferred.

Experience strategizing within teams using differential resources to reach goals; ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.

Must live within the territory; comfortable with uncertainty and high expectations.

Patient support services experience a plus; strong digital marketing aptitude; strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Salary & Benefits The anticipated salary range for this role is $170,000 - $210,000. Final title and responsibilities may vary by experience, internal equity, and location. Axsome offers a competitive package including an annual bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
