Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with examination and treatment of patients. Provides a variety of technical procedures and applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Perform and analyze patient X-rays and report results to Medical Providers. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. Collaborate with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Essential Functions
X-ray services as needed: perform X-ray imaging under the direction of clinical providers for patients across all age groups; ensure proper patient positioning and protection during imaging. Patient Registration: secure required paperwork and insurance documentation, verify eligibility, process co-pays and schedule appointments; coordinate referrals as needed; answer patient questions about care and status. Patient Preparation and Rooming: inform staff of patient flow; conduct patient interviews, record medical history, verify purpose of visit; perform preliminary vital signs and escalate as needed; conduct point-of-care testing when required (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG). Stocking and Administrative Duties: maintain exam rooms and reception areas; manage supply inventory and expiration dates; maintain medical records and scanning; answer calls and perform opening/closing duties; document daily controls and calibration of equipment and maintain QA/QC logs. Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma required; Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required. Work Experience : Experience in a clinical setting preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire; State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required at time of hire as applicable by state law.
