Radiologic Technologist (RT)
works alongside Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants to examine and treat GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role involves performing technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, analyzing patient x-rays, and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional duties include administrative support to ensure efficient center operations. The Radiologic Technologist collaborates with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients to support patient care management, organization, and communication. Hourly rate: $43-$55 Bonus eligible up to $600/month Job Requirements
Education High School Diploma
required Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
required Work Experience Experience in a clinical setting
preferred Required Licenses/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, as applicable by state law Essential Functions
X-ray Services
Perform x-ray procedures under provider supervision for patients of all ages. Ensure proper patient positioning and safety during procedures. Assist patients in wheelchair as needed.
Patient Registration
Secure paperwork and insurance documentation, verify insurance and eligibility.
Scheduling and Coordination
Process co-pays, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals to specialists.
Patient Interaction
Answer questions, inform patients of their care status.
Patient Preparation and Rooming
Prepare patients, conduct interviews, record medical history, verify visit purpose. Perform vital signs and escalate critical cases. Conduct point-of-care testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
Stocking and Maintenance
Maintain supplies, check expiration dates, and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
Administrative Tasks
Maintain medical records, answer phones, manage correspondence. Ensure reception area is organized. Follow procedures for equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
