Overview Location: Anywhere in the United States (New York or Remote) - Seasonal Tax Manager-FSO Insurance. EY’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice operates within the NTD and supports companies with all aspects of their financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. The TARAS practice has an established history of serving complex and global tax reporting needs for about ten years.
Your role as a Seasonal Manager involves providing tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts). You will also assist companies with all aspects of preparing the tax provision and may review the tax provision process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the control environment, including assessing tax risk and control environments beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
Responsibilities
Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning
Assist with preparation and review of tax provisions
Support internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, and GAAP conversions
Identify and address process and control enhancements; assess tax risk
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal abilities, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Preferred/Ideal
Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience
Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; broad exposure to federal income taxation

The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90/hr to $120/hr, with compensation determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
