Optometrist role at Vonage. This senior optometrist position focuses on providing medical and clinical support, leading clinical programs, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to strategy and policy development within the practice. Responsibilities

Provides advanced clinical care and treatment for complex ocular diseases, disorders, and visual conditions (e.g., diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts). Leads a team of optometrists, offering mentorship and guidance in clinical decision‑making, patient care, and professional development. Participates in development and implementation of clinical programs, including preventive care strategies and advanced diagnostic techniques. Conducts clinical research or participates in clinical trials to advance optometry knowledge. Serves as a subject matter expert, providing consultation to colleagues and engaging in professional development through conferences and workshops. Supervises and ensures quality control for all aspects of clinical care from patient intake to follow-up. Coordinates multi-disciplinary care with other healthcare providers and specialists for complex cases. Minimum Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. State licensure to practice optometry. Five (5) years of clinical experience as an optometrist. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in research, teaching, or involvement in professional organizations. Duties and Responsibilities

Normal office work environment in an outpatient clinic setting. Skills & Abilities

Advanced proficiency in diagnosing and treating complex ocular diseases. Patient-centered care with ability to create individualized treatment plans. Ability to develop, implement, and manage clinical programs and initiatives. Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills. Excellent communication skills, including presenting at conferences and writing research papers. Advanced training or certification in specialty areas (e.g., ocular disease, low vision, contact lens fitting).
