Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118
• Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: November 4, 2025
• End Date: February 3, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) weekly
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to similar units as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free on-site
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,530 - $1,640

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact Registered Nurse license (must be active before start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications (American Heart Association):

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Preferred: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to float to similar units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy 37-bed Emergency Department (130 visits/day)
• Assess, triage, and manage acute and emergent patient conditions
• Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Document and coordinate care using Epic EMR
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in emergency response teams, especially during hurricane season (June–November)
• Float to similar units within scope to support hospital needs
