ER Nurse Details

• Location: Knoxville, TN 37920 – Discover vibrant city life, scenic mountain views, and outdoor adventures in East Tennessee.
• Healthcare Setting: Level I Emergency Department
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Locum Tenens)
• Start Dates: 12/15/2025 or 12/29/2025
• Assignment Duration: 13-week contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Nursing Shift: Mid shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (1:00pm – 1:00am)
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,730–$1,770/week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• CEN certification preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• First-time travel nurses considered with relevant experience

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a Level I trauma center
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Support unit expansion and facility growth initiatives
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
