PCU RN Job Details – Louisville, KY

• Position: Locum Tenens Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
• Location: Louisville, KY 40207 (Kentucky nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/19/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:45pm – 7:15am), every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860 - $1910

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license (Registered Nurse – Kentucky)
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient acute care RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Nursing Diploma or Associate\'s Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments in the Progressive Care Unit
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to clinical interventions
• Provide patient and family education throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, mentor and precept new nurses, and promote teamwork
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to Practice Governance
