Hiring Range: $63,080 - $82,792
This is an exempt (salaried) position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity consideration included an assessment of the applicant's salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirement for the job.
This role is on-site 5 days a week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position Summary The Management Analyst is part of the Office of Innovation and Strategy with Mecklenburg County Public Health. This position is responsible for managing reporting on key performance indicators, supporting the development of core departmental strategies, and reporting on the implementation of these strategies. The management analyst works closely with executive leadership and program managers across the department to develop and track program metrics.
Essential Functions Compile reports from divisions within Public Health to assess progress on departmental goals Track and report key performance measures and associated results Conduct research and analysis and advise management of results Work under the guidance of department management on strategic projects to include assisting in the establishment of goals, objectives, strategies, and measures Respond to requests from State, County, local municipality government, external partners or community stakeholders Manage various projects aligned with core departmental strategies Analyze data; including, but not limited to, program output and outcome results, revenue, expenditure, and employment reports Recommend new systems, procedures, or organizational changes Make recommendations to management through presentations or written reports Collaborate with managers to ensure that the changes are successfully implemented and creating positive results
Minimum Qualifications Experience: Minimum of two years experience in a related field.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, DataAnalytics or a related field. Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
Licenses and Certifications Criminal Justice Management Analyst - Certified Pretrial Services Professional within 90 days of employment May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Drivers License May require County Driving Privileges
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, Data Analysis or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, project management, resource allocation, human resources modeling, and leadership techniques. Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Skills Data management and data visualization Developing measures to track progress on strategies Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents Talking to others to convey information effectively Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
