Cardio Thoracic Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in Washington Full-Time or Part-Time Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Assignment
Coverage Details:
Full-time or part-time coverage starting ASAP and ongoing
Providers Requested: 2
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days (Can be expedited for clean malpractice history)
Shift Description:
Weekdays: 7 AM - 5 PM in-house + night call 5 PM - 7 AM
Weekend call: Friday 5 PM - Monday 7 AM
Call rotation: Every third weekday and every fourth weekend
Call Details:
Weekday call includes: finishing late cases, CCU calls, emergency return to hospital
Weekend call includes: rounding with call surgeon, progress notes, chest tube management, discharges, CCU calls, emergency return to hospital
Special Skills Required:
Vein harvesting required
First assist required
Requirements:
Board Eligible
Washington license or IMLC
BLS
Procedures Performed:
Robotic lobectomy and thymectomy (Da Vinci Xi)
CABG
Aortic valve replacement / TAVR
Mitral valve repair/replacement
Thoracotomy and VATS
LVAD implantation
Aortic dissection repair
ECMO
Setting & Responsibilities:
Working in OR and ICU; occasional step-down patients
Morning rounds and discharges daily
First assist in all procedures
Endoscopic vein and radial harvesting using Maquet System (Hemopro 2 Vasoview)
Prepare conduit, place post-op orders, close sternotomy (surgeon preference)
Daily clinic (Mon-Thu) for post-op patients
Admissions required
Facility Details:
ICU beds: 16
Trauma Level: 3
Stroke-certified hospital
Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 2 PAs
EMR: Epic
