*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for providing exceptional eye health care. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing various eye conditions, my clinic specializes in scleral lens fitting, glaucoma, dry eye and macular degeneration management and ensuring the overall health of our patients' vision. We don't sell glasses, just contacts, vitamins, eye drops and lid hygiene products. Your expertise in ophthalmology and customer service will be crucial in delivering high-quality care to our diverse patient population.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
* Diagnose and treat various ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, irregular astigmatism, infections, and injuries.
* Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens usage, supplements, eye drops or oral medicines.
* Maintain accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Monitor vital signs as necessary during patient evaluations.
* Utilize aseptic techniques when performing procedures or handling equipment.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.
* Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state optometry license to practice.
* Experience and or interest in ocular disease
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the visual system.
* Familiarity with medical coding practices is beneficial.
* Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for maintaining patient records will be trained on our system.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Pay: $117,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
