Will be responsible for the cleaning/sterilization of instruments, preparation of instrument trays and passing instrument to dentist during dental procedures. Will be responsible for mixing impression and filling materials, taking routine x-rays as well as processing and mounting films.

Responsibilities

    • Instrument Sterilization & Preparation:

      • Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments to ensure adherence to infection control protocols.

      • Assemble and arrange instrument trays with necessary tools and supplies for various dental procedures.

    • Procedure Assistance:

      • Provide direct chairside assistance to the dentist, efficiently passing instruments during examinations and treatments.

      • Maintain a smooth workflow by anticipating the dentist’s needs and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures.

    • Material Preparation & Handling:

      • Accurately mix impression materials for molds and restorative filling materials to support treatment needs.

      • Ensure proper handling and storage of dental materials for optimal effectiveness.

    • Radiographic Imaging & Film Processing:

      • Take routine dental x-rays in accordance with safety guidelines and patient positioning protocols.

      • Process and mount films to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from an accredited dental assistant course or graduation from high school and one year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant. Current certification to expose dental radiographs required. Dental Assistant certification or eligibility required. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
