What You’ll Do:

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing and executing a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, employee relations, benefits and leave management tasks. This role serves as the first line of defense in addressing leader and team member inquiries in the area of recruiting, relations and benefits; ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Responsible to conduct new hire training sessions.

  • Compensation: $ 73,570 - $84,590 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What’s Needed For This Position:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field with concentrated coursework in HR, or equivalent work experience
  • One year of HR experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or three years of HR experience with an Associate’s degree
  • Must be bondable
  • Strong understanding of employment law, workplace policies, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including professional presentation and active listening.
  • Ability to evaluate data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions using a structured, evidence-based approach.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems such as applicant tracking and leave management platforms.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • HR Certificate (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time, exempt-level position, based out of the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI.
  • Hours and shifts vary between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed.

Training:

  • Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
  • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
