Role summary

Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of the front end. You may be the first, last, and sometimes only associate our members interact with. Smile, greet, and thank each member. You will run registers and support members through the self-checkout experience, often in a fast-paced environment—especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holiday seasons. You may juggle several tasks quickly while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area. It’s hard work but rewarding as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of the facility per company policies (safety sweeps, forklift spotting, handling hazardous materials, following steel standards) and reports unsafe situations
• Provides member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, promoting products/services, and guiding on member self-service technology
• Processes member purchases and transactions using registers or self-checkout; assists with payments and various membership options
• Keeps area organized and merchandised
• Follows Open Door Policy and adheres to company policies, procedures, and ethics
• Completes work by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers and coworkers, and adapting to change

Qualifications

• Customer Service and Retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register)
• Ability to work with mobile retail applications
