Janitor (Maintenance)

Position Summary: Provides janitorial/housekeeping services on a daily basis at designated sites.

Essential Duties:

• Maintains a clean environment by performing daily and scheduled tasks as required by the contract.
• Tasks include but are not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping and glass cleaning.
• Monitors the use of supplies and request additional supplies as needed using a just in time inventory system.

Supervisory Responsibilities: The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance: High School Diploma / GED not required. Previous experience is helpful but not required. Will train.

Safety Statement: Associates are required to follow Goodwill's safety rules and regulations, as outlined in Goodwill's policies.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions: The associate is required to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
