HealthFitness has a great opportunity for part-time Lifeguards at our large client corporate client site located in Racine, WI. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Lifeguard - Racine, WI

part-time, up to 19 hours/week

Available for early mornings and/or closing shifts i.e. 5:15a-9a OR 9a-12:30p OR 3:15p -8:15p.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities. Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to any emergency.
  • Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

What You Need To Have

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
  • Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:

  • 500 yard swim.
  • Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
  • Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
  • Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Compensation: $12/Hour - $14.75/Hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
