CP&P is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our Charleston, SC pipe plant. In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of concrete pipe. You’ll oversee production, safety, quality, and overall performance, while providing leadership and guidance to your team to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coordinate daily plant operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely
  • Coach, develop, and mentor plant personnel to achieve team and company goals
  • Monitor labor, expenses, and operational processes to maintain cost-effective performance
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and proper upkeep of equipment and facilities
  • Recommend facility or equipment improvements to the plant manager as needed
  • Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability
  • Maintain organization, consistency, and cleanliness throughout the plant

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in concrete production or manufacturing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to work hours based on production and operational needs
  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing equipment and operations
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Industry-related certifications (ACI, QCAST, MSHA) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • High school diploma or GED, valid driver\'s license, and reliable transportation
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Schedule & Environment

  • Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week, with overtime or weekends as needed during peak periods
  • Production setting with exposure to weather/air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting
  • PPE required in all production areas
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending/stooping; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
