Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel ICU RN for a 12-week assignment in Golden, Colorado. The role involves providing comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU, with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognize and respond to changes in condition
• Administer complex medications and treatments per approved critical care nursing techniques
• Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments
• Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, and notify the provider of changes in status
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, pulmonary artery catheters)
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner
• Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education
• Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory standards
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU outcomes and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Required: One year of recent ICU RN experience
• Required: Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Required: Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• Preferred: CCRN certification
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS certification
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
