- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 AM – 7:30 PM); weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1720
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Estimated Patient Ratios: 3.5:1
- Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
ER RN Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
- Perform triage, assessment, and management of acute and critical conditions
- Administer emergency medications, blood products, and IV therapies
- Manage arterial and central lines, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Interpret dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Participate in procedural sedation and phlebotomy
- Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare support teams (pharmacy, respiratory services, interpretation services, unit secretary)
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
