FMT is hiring: Night Shift Process Technician in Georgetown

Join to apply for the Night Shift Process Technician role at FMT.

This position requires the ability to process and operate Injection Molding Machines, preferably UBE Electric or Hydraulic Machines. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, identifying, and implementing productivity improvements, including cycle time reductions. The role involves launching new molds, obtaining first piece approval to engineering standards, training team members, developing and implementing mold change processes, and mentoring staff.

Requirements

• Maintain efficiency to the approved standard.
• Experience in setting up and launching first piece production.
• Knowledge of different resins and their performance under various process parameters.
• Processing experience with both open and closed loop systems.
• Basic understanding of mold construction, including types of material and mechanical function.
• Maintain work area and equipment.
• Effective communication with previous shift and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast-paced environment, including long periods of standing.
• Basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in awkward spaces.
• Wittman Robot experience is a plus.
• Teamwork skills.
