Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (Night Shift) at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Location: Hiram Davis Medical Center. State Role Title: Direct Service Associate III. Hiring Range: $40,772 - $55,389. Pay Band: 3. Agency Website: https://dbhds.virginia.gov/facilities/hwdmc/

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living.
  • Ability to carry out the responsibilities of the position; read, write, and communicate effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to turn, bend, and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.
  • Must be able to work required overtime and perform CPR.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certified as a nursing assistant with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, coupled with successful completion of a State-approved training course for nursing assistants.

Additional Considerations

  • Working experience as a nursing assistant in medical-surgical, psychiatric, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or mental retardation settings preferred.
