Nights Maintenance Welder position in Milwaukee, WI.

Pay: $27-30/hr

Hours: 4:00pm – end time approximately 12:00am – 3:00am, Monday nights through Friday nights (shift start). Average 45-60 hrs/week.

Looking for Direct Hire, but the start will be as a temporary role until direct hire is processed.

Primary duties include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our autos shredder. No prior experience on autos shredders is required – this is scrap-industry specific.

Will work with Operations Supervisors and Maintenance Supervisor, and alongside some higher-level outside maintenance contractors who are full millwrights. Works with a team of 4–5 direct hire employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the auto shredder.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance Supervisors and with experienced contractors.
• Work as part of a team of 4–5 direct hire employees.
• Support welding and mechanical maintenance activities as part of the maintenance function.

Qualifications

• Must have wire or stick welding experience.
• Experience with moving conveyor belt systems is preferred.
• No prior autos shredder experience required; training available.
