Overview
Security Associate (Temporary 3rd Shift) at the Historic Powhatan Resort, a Hilton Vacation Club, Williamsburg, VA. We strive to ensure our owners, members and guests can create wonderful vacation memories while developing our hospitality skills for career growth within Hilton Grand Vacations.
Responsibilities
- Performs periodic and random inspections of the building and grounds, protecting property from theft, embezzlement, vandalism, fire, and accidents. Maintains an understanding of emergency systems and alarm systems.
- Maintains inspection reports and records, advises management of deficiencies, and notes remedial or disciplinary actions needed to address them.
- Investigates all security incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and prepares complete reports, including statements from involved parties and witnesses.
- Provides outstanding guest/owner service at all times, including answering inquiries, providing directions, delivering packages, and assisting with general problem solving.
- Patrols the interior and perimeter of the resort to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
- Performs basic first aid and CPR as needed.
- Carries out reasonable requests of management; willing to assist co-workers and be an outstanding teammate.
Qualifications
- Ability to patrol the property and greet/interact with guests in a friendly and effective manner.
- Full and open availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have previous computer experience and excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills to write incident reports.
- Prior security experience in the hotel/hospitality industry and/or military or law enforcement background is preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR certifications.
