We are hiring at the Senior Director level to support our growing Consumer Goods business. The role focuses on Revenue Growth Management (RGM advisory) with broader end-to-end commercial excellence experience. This individual will join a high-performing unit delivering best-in-class RGM strategies for the consumer goods universe. The role offers rapid development into a leadership position within the practice as the team grows.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Director, be a vital member of the Consumer consulting team focused on Consumer Goods strategy, with emphasis on commercial excellence.
- Cultivate trusted-partner client relationships, source project opportunities, and develop project proposals leading to revenue generation.
- Deliver solutions through deep content knowledge and client relationship-building within the Consumer Goods practice.
- Identify client pain points and develop custom solutions to complex strategy engagements.
- Participate in proposal development and pre-sales meetings to address client needs and expand Simon-Kucher’s growth footprint.
- Own client engagements and projects within the Consumer Goods sector.
- Provide exceptional client service and communication, even in challenging situations.
- Lead and guide a large team of junior consultants to develop innovative insights and actionable recommendations using data, analytics, and research.
- Manage multiple engagements and project teams, providing coaching and feedback.
- Drive growth of Simon-Kucher’s Consumer sector by developing capabilities, contributing to thought leadership, and pursuing new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Develop and deliver new thought leadership focused on Consumer Goods strategy.
- Stay informed on current industry trends relevant to clients.
- Analyze processes and tools and recommend improvements.
- Play a role in recruitment and integration of new Consumer consultants.
- Contribute to the firm’s culture and success as a leader in the organization.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Outstanding drive and determination to be part of a growing, top-tier consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge and passion for the Consumer sector, specifically Consumer Goods.
- Undergraduate degree required; MS/MA/MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years in a professional services environment, ideally management consulting in the Consumer Goods industry.
- Proven expertise in growth strategies, go-to-market strategy, segmentation (advanced analytics), product and portfolio design, pricing, marketing, value proposition development, distribution strategy, sales strategies, and monetization.
- Existing network within the North American Consumer Goods industry, preferably with senior executives.
- Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop executive-level solutions; ability to identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients.
- Experience owning client engagements and delivering delivery that balances client success, profitability, and employee satisfaction.
- Team-oriented leadership with ability to recruit, develop, mentor, coach, and retain talent.
- Proven success in building a Consumer sector practice focused on profitable growth, IP development, and employee enrichment.
- Experience delivering complex change or program management projects and hands-on creation and management of opportunities.
- Strong relationships with senior clients and a track record of selling and managing new and follow-on engagements.
- Strong analytical skills to distill insights from large data sets.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, ability to lead teams, and manage tight timelines.
- Experience managing multiple engagements with work plans, deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
- Effective presentation and communication skills for senior audiences.
- Inclusive leadership style that fosters collaboration across teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position in New York is $240,000-$275,000/year. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and business needs. Benefits include paid time off, 13 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) with company matching where applicable.
