Salary And Benefits

  • Salary: $68,000 - $73,000

Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary: The HR Generalist is a professional who oversees the human resources responsibilities and activities of an organization. This position manages employee relations, regulatory compliance, and training and development. The HR Generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

  • Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5:30pm or 10am-6:30pm
  • Location: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Address employee concerns, facilitate positive communication between staff and management, and provide guidance on policies, workplace issues, and performance expectations
  • Assist with conducting and documenting workplace investigations while ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and compliance with applicable laws and agency policies
  • Plan and facilitate engaging orientation sessions that introduce new employees to the organization’s culture, policies, and operational procedures
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track required trainings, including compliance-based, role-specific, and agency-wide programs, to meet licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Support a variety of HR functions, such as, performance management, compliance monitoring, and maintaining accurate HRIS records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field required

-AND-

  • 3-4 years’ experience in Human Resources

-OR-

  • SHRM/PHR certification + 2 years’ experience in Human Resources

-PLUS-

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws preferred
  • Experience in non-profit and government organizations is strongly preferred
