Are you a natural connector with a passion for building community and supporting local businesses? You’ll lead, manage, and grow the day-to-day operations of our active and growing Waukesha Area Chamber of Commerce. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact by overseeing community events, engaging with local businesses, and driving initiatives that strengthen Waukesha’s business community. The ideal candidate is charismatic, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be responsible for. Lead and Grow the Chamber – Manage daily operations, work with the Board of Directors, and serve as the face of the Chamber in the business community. Plan & Execute Events – Oversee signature programs such as the annual Waukesha Christmas Parade, Business Networking Lunches, Coffee & After 5 events, the Annual Meeting, and more. Engage Members & Committees – Collaborate with the Ambassador Committee, Special Events Committee, and other volunteer groups to ensure successful programming and strong member involvement. Get the Word Out – Create, share, and promote Chamber events and updates across email, web, and social media. Handle Administrative Needs – Assist with invoicing, QuickBooks entries, vendor payments, and other tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Team Leadership - Lead and develop of social media expert and membership director. Additional skills: Outgoing, social, and team-oriented with strong networking skills An effective communicator—both written and verbal Tech-savvy and comfortable with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, QuickBooks, and membership/event software (we use Chamber Nation) Organized, efficient, and able to balance multiple priorities Experienced in event planning (a plus!) Have an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred Role Details: Hours: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week (flexible; additional hours required around the Christmas Parade and Annual Meeting); as our Chamber grows hours will increase Work Style: Remote with required attendance at monthly Board meetings, ribbon cuttings, and most Chamber events Compensation: $22-26 per hour
