Position Overview
The Director of Clinical Resources has administrative oversight of the clinical education courses in the School of Nursing. This position is responsible for supervising personnel and overseeing the scheduling of clinical courses; ensuring sufficient clinical sites; overseeing collection of student health and background checks as well as assisting in evaluating adjunct faculty. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College's District Board of Trustees.
What you will be doing
Participates in the development of schedules for clinical courses and sites Oversees staff using the Centralized Clinical Placement System (CPPS) clinical scheduling system and Complio Initiates, coordinates and secures outside clinical placement for ASN and BSN programs Ensures student health and background information arrives at clinical agencies in a timely manner and is current and complete Oversees the collection and storage of student health and background check information Serves as the primary MDC contact person for clinical agencies used by the School of Nursing Collaborates with Department Chairs to ensure appropriate staffing for each clinical course Visits clinical sites to ensure that adjunct faculty are working with students to meet course and agency expectations Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in nursing education Florida license or eligibility for a license as a registered nurse All degress must be from a regionally accredited institute Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility Computer fluency and database management skills in field related to Nursing Education Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) Possess effective interpersonal skills Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposes Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Additional Requirements
